UNG Email Login

UNG email is an official form of communication on the campus of the University of Georgia. UNG and Microsoft have teamed to provide you with email and the rest of the O365 suite.

The O365 package provides Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Access web apps.

Setting up ung email on iPhone

  • Select the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars option inside Settings.
  • Choose Add Account
  • Choose Exchange
  • Enter your Email address, Password, and Name (Name that will appear in your Mailboxes).
  • Faculty/Staff > Your email address will be your username@ung.edu, which will consist of your first initial, middle initial, and last name.
  • Select Next, at the screen’s upper-right corner
  • Adjust the synchronization settings as desired and click Save.

Note: If prompted for the server name, enter outlook.office365.com. If prompted for a domain, leave this entry empty. (If the error “Unable to Verify” continues to appear, insert “AD” in the domain field.)

Setting up ung email on your android phone

  • Launch the Options app (If you are using a newer version of the Android operating system, navigate to your email application and skip step 2).
  • Accounts > Add a New Account.
  • Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync or Corporate should be selected.
  • Enter your COMPLETE email address and password.
  • Faculty/Staff > Your email address will be your username@ung.edu, which will consist of your first initial, middle initial, and last name.
    • Note: Sometimes, after this step is completed, newer Android devices will complete the setup process automatically. If this is the case, steps 5 through 7 are unnecessary.
  • Click Next or, if Manual Setup is an option, click Manual Setup.
  • Enter EMAIL ADDRESS> into the “Domainusername” column.
  • The server address is outlook.office365.com.
  • Select Next.
  • Leave all settings as-is and name this account (ex. School or UNG).

Connecting ung email with gmail app

To utilize Gmail with the UNG email system, the Android device must be equipped with Exchange Services and Gmail Version 5.0 or later. Some manufacturers exclude Exchange Services from their devices, which may render yours incompatible.

  • Launch the Gmail app and access the left-hand menu. Open the Configuration panel.
  • Choose Add Account followed by Exchange or Corporate.
    • If neither of these options is available, this indicates that Exchange Services are not installed on your device.
  • Enter your entire @ung.edu email address and choose Manual Setup.
    • Faculty/Staff > Your email address will be your username@ung.edu, which will consist of your first initial, middle initial, and last name.
  • Choose Exchange or Corporate for Account Type, and then enter your UNG Password.
  • Please enter your complete UNG email address for Username.
  • Please enter your UNG Password for Password
  • Please enter outlook.office365.com for Server.
  • All other settings are correct by default. When clicking Next, grant Administrative permissions.
  • Select the desired Sync parameters, including frequency and duration.
    Upon pressing Next, Gmail will be activated as a Device Administrator.

How do I change my password?

The UNG Password Portal is utilized to reset or alter account passwords. This information will be used if you lose or forget your password, or if your account password expires.

Change/Expired Password permits you to change your account’s password and reactivate an expired account. If you have forgotten your account password, you can answer your security questions by clicking the Forgot Password link.

To use the Forgot Password feature, you must subscribe in the Password Management services. To enroll in Password Management, use the Password Portal’s Enroll in Password Management option.
