UF Email Access: Helpful Guide to Access UF Webmail

Your UF email address consists of your GatorLink ID followed by @ufl.edu.

As a student at the University of Florida, you are required to regularly access and check your GatorCloud email account.

All critical news, events, reactions to requests or queries, UF Canvas access, etc. are transmitted via your UF Webmail account.

How to log into UF email

To gain access to UF Webmail;

  • Visit the website outlook.com/ufl.edu.
  • Enter your username for Gatorlink.
  • Enter your password then.
  • Sign in to gain access to UF email.

GatorCloud Email provides students with 50 GB of storage space and access to the University of Florida’s global address list, which contains contact information for UF students, teachers, and staff.

Due to the fact that you are only assured access to your UF email account for six months after graduation, UF recommends utilizing your personal email address for educational and employment applications.

How to set up UF email on your Android phone

Do you wish to configure UF Email on your Android-powered mobile device? Follow the below steps.

  1. Open the Gmail app and select the three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner of the search bar to access Settings. Now, you should see a list of your existing email accounts. Choose “Add Account
  2. Next, select “Exchange and Office 365” from the menu.
  3. Enter your email address in the GatorLink@ufl.edu form, and then click “Setup Manually.
  4. On the subsequent screen, enter your password in the designated space. The domainusername field must contain your email address formatted as GatorLink@ufl.edu. Please enter “outlook.office365.com” within the server area. The port number must be 443 and SSL/TLS must be selected. Once all fields have been completed, click the “Next” button.
  5. The application will attempt to connect, and if successful, you should see the message “Your account is ready to use” on the screen.

Your account will sync and import all of your email and calendar items after a few minutes.

How to install Gatormail on your iPhone

To configure UF Email on your iPhone, please follow the instructions below.

  • Open the IOS settings menu and select “Passwords and Accounts” in the left pane, followed by “Add Account” in the right pane.
  • On the following screen, choose “Microsoft Exchange.”
  • Enter your email address in the format “gatorlink@ufl.edu” and provide a nickname for your account, then click “Next.”
  • Please select “Manual Configuration” from the following pop-up.
  • On the subsequent step, you will be prompted to provide your email address. The email field should contain your email address formatted like “gatorlink@ufl.edu.” In the server text box, enter “outlook.office365.com.” The domain field should remain empty. The format for your email address in the username section should be “gatorlink@ufl.edu.” After entering your password, click the “Next” button.
  • The application will next attempt to establish a connection with your email. Once linked, you will be able to choose which data to sync.
