How to run a degree audit at UC San Diego

When you log in to MyTritonLink, run a new degree audit to obtain an updated look at your degree progress.

The UCSD degree audit system delivers real-time results, allowing you to conduct an audit whenever you alter your course load or grades are posted. The degree audit is accessible around-the-clock, seven days a week.

  • Enter your TritonLink login and password RIGHT HERE.
  • The “Request an Audit” page is displayed, listing your active degree program (s). Select Execute Declared Programs.
  • Your degree audit is now available for review. Select the View Audit button.
  • Degree Audits are snapshots of your progress towards completing your degree. After seven days, the system deletes audits. Conduct a fresh audit to display your most recent academic information. Save a PDF of the audit to your computer if you wish to keep it.

How to read your degree audit

Your degree audit consists of the following components:

  • Major(s)
  • Minor(s)
  • College general education (GE) requirements
  • University requirements.

UCSD degree audit terms

Not Passing (NP): A grade of P or NP indicates whether you passed the course, but does not indicate performance in any other way. These grades are not used in the calculation of your grade point average; nevertheless, a P (passing) mark counts toward your earned credit hours or the required number of units for your certificate.

Not for Credit (NFC): A grade of “NFC” indicates enrollment in the course but does not reflect performance. This grade displays on your transcript, but is not factored into your GPA, earned credit hours, or the number of units required for your certificate.

NR: A grade with NR means there’s no record.

Blank: The term blank in UCSD degree audit means the grade has not been reported.
