The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) is a part of the National Security Investigations Division. SEVP Certified School Search It connects government agencies that want to know more about non-immigrants coming to the US to go to school with the people who have that information. SEVP approves and oversees schools that are allowed to accept F and M nonimmigrant students. It also tells schools and students what they need to do to keep their status.

The US Department of Homeland Security uses the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), which is an online system, to keep information about student and exchange visitor programs up to date. They have this in place to protect national security and to help international students get into the country. To get a certification from the Student Exchange Visitor Program, an institution must use SEVIS. If a school doesn’t have this, it can’t offer programs to students from other countries.

Use the SEVP Certified School Search Map to find schools and programs that are approved by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and can accept F-1 and M-1 students in the United States. You can look for a school by name, location, education, or type of visa. The green and blue icons next to the search results show what kind of international students (F-1 or M-1) a school is approved to accept.
