MyUTampa: UTampa Login Portal Help Guide

MyUTampa is the login gateway for students at the University of Tampa. It is the starting point for many of the applications you use on your computer and mobile device on a daily basis.

This portal simplifies access to UT programs and decreases the number of usernames and passwords you must remember.

This web portal at the University of Tampa allows students, teachers, and staff to quickly and conveniently access the majority of their campus-wide applications.

Okta provides power to MyUTampa. It is accessible via PCs and compatible with mobile devices. This new gateway facilitates access to UT programs and decreases the number of usernames and passwords you must remember.

How to log into MyUTampa

To access UTampa login portal,

  • Access ut.edu/myutampa using any web browser.
  • Click the MyUTampa Login button. Or go directly to utampa.okta.com.
  • Enter your user ID.
  • Provide your password.
  • Select Sign in to gain access to your account.

The UTampa login site use the same user ID and password as the University network.

Visit SpartanStart if you’re an applicant or a new student. It is an internet site for applications.

On a computer or mobile device, visit ut.edu/myutampa and click login to change your password. Click on your username in the menu bar, and then select the ‘Settings’ option.

Select Edit from the Change Password area. Enter your current password, your new password, then your new password again. Select Change Password followed by Save.

Click the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login screen to reset your password, or call the IT Help Desk at (813) 253-6295.

On a computer or mobile device, head to the login page and click login to modify your secondary email address information. Click on your username in the menu bar, and then select the ‘Settings’ option.

Navigate to the Personal Information section and click Edit. Enter the new email address and click Save.

How to set up your MyUTampa profile

  • Username and password are required to access MyUTampa.
  • Enter an alternative email address. This information will be used to give you a link to reset your password if you forget it.
  • Select a password recovery question and answer. A list is accessible via the dropdown menu. At the bottom of the page, you can make your own question.
  • Provide your mobile phone number. This will be used to send you a link to reset your password through text message if you forget your password. Click Send Code.
  • You will receive a 6-digit code through text message.
    Enter the code and click the Verify button.
  • Click Done.
  • Select an Image as your security image. Select Register My Account.
  • You are now in the MyUTampa site.

How to access MyUTampa on Okta mobile

Okta Mobile is a mobile application available for download from the App Store (Apple users) or the Google Play Store (Android users) (Android Users).

It provides the same access to your UTampa student portal via your mobile device, allowing you to do your work without being at your computer. Make certain you’re installing Okta Mobile and not Okta Verify.

How to set up MyUTampa on your mobile phone

For Apple users, download Okta Mobile from the App Store.

Download Okta Mobile from the Google Play Store if you’re an Android user.

Once installed, you will be required to input our organization’s name, “utampa,” along with your MyUTampa user name and password. Once authentication is complete, Okta Mobile will prompt you to create a PIN. Confirm your PIN once more, and you’re ready to take Okta mobile.
