myUFL: Complete GatorLink Guide and UFL Portal Access UPDATED

MyUFL is the university of Florida’s link to a number of enterprise-wide apps and online services.

Access to campus systems, such as myUFL, One UF, and UF wireless, requires a GatorLink account. Every active Student must have a login and password for GatorLink.

To use GatorLink, you must agree to the University of Florida’s Acceptable Use Policies. Official university correspondence is issued to Students via the UF email account provided by GatorLink.

Additionally, GatorLink is required to log in to UF Canvas.

How to log into myUFL

To access myUFL,

  • Please visit my.ufl.edu.
  • Select the “Access myUFL” hyperlink.
  • Enter your username for GatorLink.
  • To log in, provide your password.

How to create your gatorlink account

Please follow the steps below to create a Gatorlink account:

  • Go to login.ufl.edu
  • Right-click Create Account and then follow the instructions.
  • Enter UFID/Last Name/DOB
  • Go here and follow the instructions to Resend the GatorLink invitation if you did not receive or have lost your invitation code.
  • Finish the remaining steps.
  • If you receive an error message stating that your information does not match, please email dess@ahc.ufl.edu.

Once your account has been created, you should store a password hint. This will allow you to establish a new password online in the future if you forget your current one:

  1. Go to www.my.ufl.edu
  2. Enter your Gatorlink username and password to login
  3. Choose Main Menu > My Account > Save My Password Hint from the menu.

How to reset myUFL passwordForgot Password

Here’s how to reset your forgotten myUFL password… Self-Service Reset.

  • Please visit account.it.ufl.edu.
  • Click the “Forgot Your Password?” link.
  • Click the “Self-Service Reset” button.
  • Enter your GatorLink ID and UFID
  • Enter your birth month and day (MM/DD)
  • Select a means of communication for getting a one-time-use verification code (phone- text or voice call and email)
  • Input Validation Code
  • Follow the link in the first paragraph to read the entire “Acceptable Use Policy” after reading its summary.
  • After completion, click “Accept & Continue.”
  • Enter your new password. You can find password guidelines and other helpful information on the Password Tips page.
  • Don’t forget to update your mobile device passwords (cellphone, laptop, tablet, etc.).

How to change your UF password

  • Please visit account.it.ufl.edu.
  • Select “Change Password
  • Enter your GatorLink ID and current password to log in.
  • Follow the link in the first paragraph to read the entire “Acceptable Use Policy” after reading its summary.
  • After completion, click “Accept & Continue.”
  • Enter your new password. You can find password guidelines and other helpful information on the Password Tips page.
  • Don’t forget to update your mobile device passwords (cellphone, laptop, tablet, etc.).

What is the difference between my GatorLink ID and my UFID?

Your UFID number is used to determine your identity. Your GatorLink username and password are required to access university computer resources.

A Gator 1 Card

Gator 1 Cards, bearing the UFID number on the front, are distributed to Students, Faculty, and Staff, as well as DSO staff. The Gator 1 Card grants access to UF’s gated parking, libraries, computer labs, vending machines, Gator Dining, and recreation centers, among other locations and services.
