How to sign in to Slack at UCLA

Access to Slack is simple. You may utilize a browser, the Desktop Application, or download the mobile application. Using a browser is the simplest and quickest option.

  • In the address bar of your preferred web browser, enter
  • Select “Login with your UCLA Logon ID”
  • Enter your UCLA Logon ID and password, and then click the “Sign In” button.
  • If you are logging into the UCLA Slack environment for the first time, you will be requested to “Review the terms of service.” Click “I accept”
  • If you have installed the Slack Desktop App, you may see the popup option. Select “Always allow to open links of this type in the related app” if you want slack links to open in the Slack Desktop application. Click the “Slack Open” button.

Using your Mednet account for UCLA Single Sign-On (SSO)

The Single Sign-On (SSO) application at UCLA is now compatible with your Mednet credentials. You must own an existing UCLA Logon ID in order to use this service.

If you do not already have a myUCLA Logon account, you will be led to establish one when attempting to sign in with your UCLA Mednet account.

You may also register in advance at (make sure that you are creating your account using the 9-digit UID number provided to you by HR).

Utilizing Your Mednet Account Together With UCLA SSO;

  • Click the “Login with your Mednet username and password” link at the UCLA SSO application screen.
  • On the following screen, enter your UCLA Mednet Username and Password, then click Sign In.

How to change myUCLA Logon Credentials

Your UCLA Logon ID is a permanent identifier for the campus that cannot be modified. If you are eligible for this service, it will also serve as your email address. Choose your username with caution. If you are concerned about your email address, you are permitted to create an alias that you can use as your email address.

Change myUCLA Logon ID Password

If you know your current myUCLA Logon ID password and wish to change it, log in to the Identity and Accounts Manager page and click Change Your Password.

After successfully changing your password, you may need to update the password saved in any configured programs or devices (email clients, phones, etc.). If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by answering your security question.

The UCLA Logon ID is your online identity for the campus. This is the initial phase in the campus’ endeavor to transition all systems to a “Single Sign-On” and is used for authentication to the majority of online services.

It also grants eligible individuals access to BOL services including as a email account, campus wireless, VPN, proxy server, web hosting service, and free software, among others. The UCLA Logon ID was previously known as a Bruin OnLine ID, BOLid, BOL username, BOL account, etc.
