myCCSF Login portal

The myCCSF Login Portal is a student information portal for City College of San Francisco students. myCCSF provides CCSF students with access to the myRAM student portal, CCSFmail (student email), and Canvas learning management system.

The MyCCSF Resources Portal facilitates key tasks such as class registration, class addition, and grade verification.

How to log into myCCSF

To access CCSF login portal,

  • Follow the link ccsf.edu/myccsf.
  • The myCCSF Login Portal (RAM ID) button must be clicked.
  • This link will open the login page.
  • Provide your username on the login page (RAM ID).
  • Enter your password then.
  • Click the Sign In button to gain access to your account.

To access the RAM ID Portal, click the myCCSF Login Portal (RAM ID) button at the top of the page.

How to access the MyCCSF resources page on your mobile device

  • On your smartphone, visit ccsf.edu and tap the Menu button.
  • Click on MyCCSF from the Menu.
  • Click on myRAM Portal beneath Quick Links.
  • To log in,
    • enter your Username (i.e. CCSF ID#).
    • input your password.
    • Select the Sign In button.
  • Click on the tile for the desired application.

What is CCSF RAM ID?

RAM ID is the service for managing passwords at City College of San Francisco. It is in honor of the mascot of the CCSF Rams and will assist remove the need for separate passwords for each service.

Your RAM ID is your Student ID number, which commonly begins with W or @. RAM ID will allow you to log in to myRAM Portal, CCSF Student Wi-Fi Network, Canvas (Online Courses), Campus Logic (Financial Aid), Starfish (Counseling & Early Alert), Awardspring (Scholarships), and WEPA (Washington Environmental Protection Agency) (Printing).

How to activate your CCSF RAM ID

  • Visit the CCSF website
  • Select the MyCCSF link (upper left corner).
  • Under Student, click the myCCSF Login Portal (RAM ID) ram/icon.
  • You should be taken to the login page for myCCSF.
  • Select “New to RAM ID?” Forgot Password?” to initiate the recovery procedure.
  • Enter your Student or Staff/Faculty Username when prompted to do so by the End-User Self Service box. Your username and “Student ID number” are identical. Student Format: W00000001, @00000001, etc.
  • Respond to the three required questions to confirm your identity.
  • Follow the password rules to create the password you desire.
  • Click “Click here to continue” to continue.
  • Next, register your challenge responses. Select “Continue” to continue.
  • Select two questions and answer them. The future rehabilitation process will be aided by your answers to these questions; don’t overthink the response; enter what you would if you were asked these questions in the future. Select “Continue” to continue.
  • Register your phone for password recovery (Optional). Enter your ten-digit mobile phone number. (e.g. 4155551212). Select “Continue” to continue.
  • Additionally, provide your email address for password recovery (also Optional).
  • Enter your email address. (e.g., @gmail.com @yahoo.com @hotmail.com etc.). Select “Continue” to continue.
  • Enter the one-time passcode (OTP) that was provided to you. If multiple OTPs are sent via email, use the most recent code. Select “Continue” to continue.
  • Your RAM ID has been successfully initialized. You should be able to access all available resources without having to re-enter your password.

How to reset your forgotten RAM ID password

Follow the steps below if you have forgotten your RAM ID password and need to reset it manually.

  • Select “New to RAM ID?” Forgotten Password?” link.
  • Enter RAM ID Username.
    • Your username and “Student ID number” are identical.
  • Select your “Authentication Type” and enter the required response.
    • 1 Challenge Answer that utilizes previously registered Challenge Answers.
    • “One-Time Password” (OTP), which sends a message to your (registered) mobile device or email address.
  • After your identity has been confirmed by Challenge Question or OTP, you will be required to create a new password.

Upon entering your RAM ID and selecting “New to RAM ID? Forgot Password?” but are unable to select “Continue” or receive an error message indicating “Bad Request Type,” please contact the Help Desk at (415) 239-3711.

CCSFmail

CCSFmail is the official email account for City College of San Francisco students.

All City College of San Francisco students are automatically assigned CCSFmail (Google Gmail) accounts.

Your CCSFmail account is where the college will send any official City College correspondence, such as registration dates and information, notices, etc. You are required to read these emails.

Some teachers may share Google documents with you in your classes via CCSF Canvas. In addition, when more capabilities become available, you will be able to access the Google Apps that are tied to the home page.

Two emails are sent to the email address you provided on your City College application.

The initial message includes your CCSFmail address and the URL required to access your email.
The first password for your CCSFmail account is contained in the second email.

How to log into your CCSFmail account

  • Go to the myCCSF site.
  • Click the Google Mail site login button.
  • To log in, enter your username and password.

When you first visit your CCSFmail account, you must select a password. Please enter the password in both the “Choose a password” and “Re-enter password” fields.

  • If you wish the menus to appear in a language other than English, choose the desired language.
  • In the final step, enter the characters you see in the box.
  • If you accept the terms and conditions, press the I Accept button.
  • Click the option labeled Create my Account to begin utilizing your CCSFmail account.
  • If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, press the Cancel button and you will not receive an email account.

How to reset or update your CCSF email password

To modify your CCSFmail password, type:

  • Authenticate using your CCSFmail account.
  • Click on the Account Icon in the upper-right corner. It may be a circle containing your initial.
  • Click on Account Management.
  • Click the Security link on the extreme left.
  • Under Google Sign-In, click the right arrow next to Password.
  • Follow the prompts to create a new password after verifying your current one.
  • Click Change Password if you want your changes to take effect.

To reset your password for CCSFmail:

  1. Visit ramid.ccsf.edu and sign in.
  2. Select the “myRam Portal” tile by clicking on it.
  3. Select the “Student Portal” link.
  4. Follow the link “myProfile”
  5. If you click the “CCSF email/password reset” link in the menu on the left, a new window/browser tab will open.
  6. Click the “Reset password” button in the new window/tab of your browser.
  7. Copy the Standard Password
  8. To access your CCSFmail account, click the “Login” option.
  9. Enter the Default Password from step 7 to access your student Gmail account. You can then modify the password inside the Gmail Settings.
