GSU iCollege – Georgia State University LMS Simple Login Guide

iCollege is Georgia State University’s learning management system (LMS) powered by Brightspace by D2L.

The design is straightforward to use, making you effortlessly browse through your courses.

You log in by using your CampusID username and password.

To access Georgia State icollege,

  • Navigate to icollege.gsu.edu.
  • Select “CampusID Sign In”
  • Enter your CampusID number.
  • Enter your password for CampusID.
  • Select Sign in.
  • Click the Profile button in the upper-right corner and then click Log Out to log out.

My Home is your initial point of entry inside GSU iCollege. You may configure your profile, change your password and email address, modify your preferences, and access your courses from this page.

Additionally, you can read news articles and access any organization-level content, links, comments, or other resources.

How to access your courses in iCollege

When you enter a course, the first page you encounter is the Course Home. Similar to My Home, it contains your personal tools and several widgets for displaying course-specific content and information.

  • Click the menu icon on the Georgia State University iCollege homepage to see your course list.
  • Select your course from the drop-down menu.
  • To view all of your courses, navigate to the bottom of your My Home page and click View All Courses.
  • Find your course by searching for it in the search bar or by perusing the list of courses below it.
  • To return to My Home, click the “X” located in the upper-right corner.

How to create your personal profile on GSU iCollege

It is optional to fill out your profile, however doing so is a terrific way to get to know other members. If you do not feel comfortable disclosing some information about yourself, please leave the profile or field empty.

Your profile information may be accessible via Classlist, and your profile photo may be displayed alongside your discussion posts and name in class lists.

Create your own profile in GSU iCollege by following the procedures outlined below.

  • Click the Profile icon in the upper right corner of the home screen.
  • Click the Profile link.
  • Complete the required fields with your information.
  • Click Change Picture to upload a profile picture.
  • Then click Add after selecting your image via Upload.
  • When complete, select Save or Save and Close.

How to change your account settings on GSU iCollege

  • Click the Profile icon in the upper right corner of the homepage.
  • Click Settings Account.
  • Utilize the tabs at the page’s top to view and modify various account settings. When complete, select Save or Save and Close.

GSU iCollege email

iCollege email is utilized for course-related correspondence between you, your teachers, and your classmates. It is not connected with your GSU PantherMail student email account.

This email tool enables the sending of emails from within Learning Environment. Additionally, you can arrange received email with folders and store email addresses with the Address Book.

How to use the icollege email system

  • On the homepage of your GSU iCollege account, click the Envelope icon.
  • In the menu drop-down, select Email.
  • Select Compose from the tool menu.
  • In the Message box, enter the recipient’s email address or click the Address Book icon at the top of the screen to find an email address from your Address Book.
  • Include a topic line in your email.
  • Type your message.
  • If you like to attach a file to your email, select the Upload button.
  • Click Send.

Using the Notifications tool enables you to receive instant notifications about course events (such as dropbox uploads, discussion messages, and news updates) and to modify the email and SMS notification settings for your courses.

  • Click Register your mobile device on the Notifications page.
  • Select your Country and Mobile Carrier from the drop-down choices in the “Register Your Mobile” form, then input your Mobile Number.
  • Select Save.
  • Enter the registration confirmation code you receive on your mobile device in the Confirmation Code section.
  • Choose Confirm.
  • After confirmation, you can also limit the number of daily messages the system can send to your mobile device. To do so, click No Limit and enter the desired quantity. When finished, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

How to exclude courses from notifications

  • Click Manage my course exclusions on the Notifications page.
  • Select the Exclude symbol next to each course you wish to exclude, or click Exclude All Courses to disable course alerts altogether.
  • To restore notifications for excluded courses, click the Restore icon next to each course for which you wish to receive notifications, or click Clear course exclusions to restore notifications for all excluded courses.
  • Click Close then.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the screen when finished.
