CSUN Canvas Login: Guide to Access CSUN LMS and Zoom| Simple & Helpful

CSUN Canvas contains all the characteristics of a modern learning management system including functionality for managing enrollments, exchanging documents, submitting assignments, and awarding grades, as well as tailored features for individual Cal State Northridge students.

The CSUN Canvas environment is available at canvas.csun.edu. Log in with your CSUN user ID and password.

Features of CSUN Canvas?

Canvas at CSUN offers all the capabilities of a modern learning management system, such as the capacity to accept and mark assignments, facilitate conversations in forums, administer quizzes and examinations, store and organize course materials, connect with students, etc.

Canvas CSUN offers several grading options, such as rubrics, audio/video feedback, and a grading app. On their mobile devices, students can access course materials, browse course calendars and to-do lists, and customize their notification choices.

To access Canvas at CSUN;

  • Go to canvas.csun.edu.
  • Provide your CSUN username.
  • Enter your password then.
  • To log in, click the “Login” button.

Enter your login credentials. New applicants must enter their University-issued email address and temporary password.

Your connection will expire after 27 minutes of inactivity for security reasons.

Zoom is a video and online conferencing service available to all CSUN students, teachers, and staff. Zoom allows up to 300 individuals to share video, audio, and their screens.

It is compatible with PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices and can be accessed from any computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. Any CSUN user can initiate a video or audio meeting, enabling Zoom to be utilized for any online meeting, regardless of the number of participants.

How to log into csun zoom

To reach csun zoom,

  • Proceed to csun.zoom.us.
  • Click the Join Meeting button.
  • Enter the Meeting ID or Personal Link Name associated with your account.
  • Select Join to gain access to the meeting.

How to get started with CSUN zoom

You must perform these steps on each device on which you intend to utilize Zoom. Once you have performed these setup procedures, you will no longer be required to do so each time you utilize CSUN Zoom.

  • Check out csun.zoom.us/.
  • Choose Download Center from the Quick Links menu (https://csun.zoom.us/download).
  • Select Zoom Client for Meetings to download the application…
  • https://csun.zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstaller.exe.
  • If the ZoomInstaller.exe file does not automatically open, launch it.
  • Choose Sign In.
  • Sign In with SSO (your CSUN user ID and password) (myNorthridge portal login credentials).
  • Enter CSUN in the resulting text box.
  • Sign in using your university ID and password (the same credentials you use to log into the myNorthridge portal).
  • Zoom should open in a new window by default. (If it doesn’t, choose Launch Zoom; otherwise, you may be prompted to “Run” or “Continue”).
  • Select your initials in the upper-right area of the screen. It should display your CSUN email address and the word LICENSED. If you logged in with Google or a free account, you must log out and then follow the instructions below to use your CSUN credentials.
  • You have successfully downloaded and logged into your Zoom Pro account after completing these steps.

Do external tools like Turnitin and Respondus work in Canvas CSUN?

Many external technologies, including Turnitin and Respondus, are supported by CSUN Canvas, allowing instructors to continue using them in their courses. In addition, Canvas supports the direct embedding of external applications such as YouTube, Wikipedia, Educreations, Khan Academy, etc.

Is there a mobile app for Canvas that we can use?

Canvas supports a number of mobile apps, but the two most important ones are the Canvas Student app and the Canvas Teacher app for instructors. These applications are compatible with Android smartphones and iPhones and iPads with iOS 10 or later. Enter CSUN’s Canvas URL after installing the app to access the mobile app. The website address is canvas.csun.edu.
