The BYU Summer term 2022 begins on June 21 and ends on August 12, 2022.

• The dates for New Student Orientation are June 17-18, 2022.
• Juneteenth will occur on June 20, 2022.
• The first day of summer 2022 classes begins on June 21, 2022.
• Summer Term Add/Drop Deadline is June 28, 2022.
• July 4 is Independence Day in 2022.
• Pioneer Day will occur on July 24, 2022.

• The withdrawal deadline for the second or summer terms is July 27, 2022.
• Classes end on August 9 2022.
• The day of Exam Preparation is August 10, 2022.
• Final Exam Day will occur on August 11 and 12, 2022.

• Education Week will be observed from August 15 to August 19, 2022.
• Summer Term Grades Due date is August 18, 2022.

BYU academic calendar fall semester 2022

The fall semester of 2022 for Brigham Young University begins on August 29 and concludes on December 8, 2022.

• Orientation for new students for the autumn semester of 2022 will take place from August 25 to August 27, 2022.
• Classes for the fall semester begin on August 29, 2022.
• Labor Day is on September 5th, 2022.
• Add/Drop deadline (Full Semester & 1st Term) is September 6, 2022.
• The withdrawal deadline for the first or spring semester is October 3, 2022.
• On October 18, 2022, 1st Term will conclude.
• On October 19, 2022, the second term will begin.
• The deadline for 2nd Term Add/Drop is October 26, 2022.
• The deadline for full Semester withdrawals is November 7, 2022.
• November 22, 2022 is the date of discontinuance.
• The withdrawal deadline for the second term or summer term is November 22, 2022.
• The Thanksgiving holiday is on November 24 and 25, 2022.
• The final day of school is December 8, 2022.
• The date for fall exam preparation is December 9, 2022.
• Final Exam Day will occur between December 12 and December 16, 2022.
• BYU fall semester grades are due on December 22, 2022.
• On December 27, 2022, online access to the Fall Semester grades will be available.

The winter semester of 2022 will begin on January 3 and conclude on April 20, according to the BYU academic calendar.

• Winter semester 2022 lessons begin on January 3 and conclude on April 13, 2022.
• The Add/Drop (Full Semester & 1st Term) deadline is January 10, 2022.
• The withdrawal deadline for the 1st Term or Spring Term is February 7, 2022.
• The 23rd of February, 2022 is the final day of the first term.
• The date February 24, 2022 marks the beginning of the second term.
• March 3, 2022 2nd – Term Add/Drop deadline.

• Spring 2022 classes begin on April 26 and end on June 13, 2022.
• The Add/Drop deadline for the whole semester and first term is May 3, 2022.
• May 31, 2022 – Date of Discontinuance
• May 31, 2022 – Deadline to Withdraw from 1st Term or Spring Term
• 26 April to 13 June 2022 – last day of class
• 13 June 2022 is the withdrawal deadline (Full Semester).
• The date for exam preparation is June 14, 2022.
• Spring examinations begin between June 15 and 16, 2022.
