Accessible Campus Online Resources Network is what ACORN stands for. It is a web-based application that stores your academic, personal, and financial information.

The U of T acorn was distributed to students on 22 June 2015. Later, Quercus UOFT was introduced.

You will use ACORN Toronto to register for classes, examine your course schedule, update your address, check your grades and other academic information, view your fees account, request graduation, order transcripts, and print tax forms, among other things.

How to login to acorn uoft

To access the U of T acorn portal;

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your UTOrid or JOINid.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click on “Log In” to access your dashboard.

Always utilize the Log Out button to end your session in U of T ACORN. Once you have logged in, your session will remain active until you log out or 20 minutes have passed without activity. If a session is left open, the next individual to use this computer will be able to read and modify your records.

How to add courses on Acorn UOFT

When your course enrolment start time begins:

  • Utilize your JOINid / UTORid to access ACORN.
  • Select “Enrollment and Management” from the Academics menu.
  • Select your session (Fall-Winter or Summer).
  • Input the course code or title into the search form to find the desired course.
  • A pop-up window will open for selecting a lecture, followed by a tutorial and/or practical (if applicable).
  • Select “Enroll” ACORN will confirm whether your request was successful or whether the desired part is full.

How to drop a course on acorns

If you no longer wish to be enrolled in a course, you may discontinue it through ACORN UOFT prior to the deadline in order to have it erased from your transcript. Check the refund schedule to evaluate your eligibility for a refund.

  • Sign in to Toronto ACORN
  • Select “Course” inside the Academics menu.
  • Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the course you wish to drop to access its drop page.
  • Choose “Drop Course” from the drop-down menu and confirm your choice.
  • Once you have successfully dropped a course, you will receive a notice pop-up message in the upper right corner of the screen, and the course will be removed from your list of presently enrolled courses.

How to declare absence on ACORN

Use ACORN’s Absence Declaration section to declare an absence from academic activity.

You should declare an absence if you have missed academic work, and the processes particular to your faculty or institution require you to do so on ACORN UOFT.

Before declaring an absence on ACORN UOFT, be sure to follow the processes established by your faculty or institution.

Follow these steps to announce your absence on UOFT ACORN if you are ill for any reason.

  • Register with ACORN U of T
  • Select Profile & Settings from the menu on the left.
  • Click Absence Declaration then.
  • As soon as your absence begins and until the day you return to campus for classes or other activities, record each day.
  • You have now finished the absence declaration procedures for acorn.
